Hi fellow modelers,

Here is one of my next projects I'm working on. It's a 54mm English Standard Bearer from Pegaso. I started already some months ago but didn't had time to continue. While another figure recieved his basecoat I finished the face of this little fellow. I used a bit more red tones for the face than I usually do because of his north european origin. The next step will be the painting of the coat.

Thanks for looking and comments are welcome!

Cheers,
Marcel.

The face looks great Marcel. It's dificult to really see the eyes. They look very bright though.

Your techniques on painting faces are great and the results are amazing. There is something strange with the right eye though?

Dimitris, Jesper, Mario, Arthur and Steve thanks for the positive comments and feedback!

Dimitris: For the unshaved beard I mix very small amounts of flat black with my skintones. Or use only very diluted black (10:1) and paint this on the beard areas and correct with the skintones.

Jesper and Mario: The eyes are a bit to bright, I will try to correct it and make the iris a bit darker blue.

Steve: For the metal I use Mr. Metal from Gunze Sanyo. The first base is flat black (VC).

Here is a little update on the English Knight. I'm doing too many figures at the moment and it's slowing down the progress on all of them.
I have redone the eyes because I wasn't satisfied about them. Some blending on the cheekbones is improved and I did some tuning on the hair. Futhermore I did the shading and highlights on the metal and painted the fur around the neck. I also started with the pattern on the jacket but here is still lots of work to do. I will show some pictures in the next update.

Here are the photo's and comments are welcome ofcourse!

Cheers,
Marcel.

Thanks Serkan!
No, it will not be a tartan but it will be some kind of block pattern.

Here is a picture of the back how it's more or less going to look like:

Marcel.

Lovely progress with this figure mate and great result with the diamond sections on the cloak, that must havetaken some patience to achieve, also like the colour of the cloak with nice highlighting and shadowing.

Thanks Steve for the nice words!
There is still lots of work to do on the cloak, and still have to do the flag.

Cheers,
Marcel.
