Hi guys. Im on holidays at the moment, and to relax, I built this figure. Took a week, as there was quite a bit of sanding and filling, and re-shaping. I altered the pose a little from aiming/firing, to just holding the musket. Some belts were added with lead foil and the pack and blanket on the back were made from magic sculpt. Comments and critic are welcome. More images and full build report will come shortly.

mate with a little work these Mini Art figures can really look spot on, l like that look you've given him, shall l take a shot or not?? l'd say take it... will have to follow your WIP,..rather like the French Dragoons, perhaps the money tin will be found with a hole in the bottom, me thinks...

Although I usually do armor/figures in 1/35, I like to dabble a little, with the larger figures sometimes, for a change. I also believe painting in this scale ... as everything muct be painted ... makes awareness much sharper, for when going back to the smaller scales.


I agree. Its an impressive model .. size-wise... when complete, and theres no chance of having anything similar in resin or metal ... in this price range. I paid 156 SEK which is $19.83, €14.16 or £12.17.
The price is the main lure ... however ... it took me a week (a few hours each day) to build and improve details. Too much filling and sanding for my liking. Im sure there are those who would take this further and could do a much better job, but the details close up are still a little on the weak side. None-the-less, I enjoyed building it and am looking forward to painting it. I´ll post progress over the next few days. I´ll also be posting more images, where you can hopefully see the details better.

Yeah, they require a little more work, but for the money...they can't really be beat!
