Looking good Adam. The accessories are really starting to bring it all together.
One question. In the bed, right at the tail of the truck between the door and the toolbox, how did you make the glue seem look like actual weld? If it wasn't an accident, and could be replicated it will come in handy in future builds.
Speaking of welding, I'd hate to be the guy who has to get that spare tire off in a hurry. May wanna build a plasma cutter to go in the back.

I used a two part epoxy putty to make the weld seams. I think they're a little large so I'm going to try for a smaller seam on the outside of the truck. The brand I'm using is kneadatite; I'll get a picture of it and put it up so you can see.

No, there are bolts welded to the end of the mounting brackets that go through the door, and the fixing nuts are inside the door. We can't let those nasty zombies have access to remove the spare wheel now, can we.

Oh yea... that's right... I meant to do that.
Some more progress...
Here's that putty I was talking about:
I take small amounts of it (once it's mixed together, that is), roll it into thin little lengths, and then use a toothpick to give it the impressions of welding. They're still a little big but it doesn't look so bad once it's been painted.
The stuff is interesting to work with; it's as though you were using modeling clay made out of plastic.
A little graffiti and I finally put the hinges on the hood:
And now with some paint applied (just a base of black, anyway):

I agree Adam, the epoxy/weld does look a bit out of scale but once it's painted it looks great. Saves a buttload of time since you don't have to sand and fill all those seems also.
Hood hinges look good as well. All in all I'd say you've got the whole post apocalypse look down pat.

The seams look great! The truck is the flippin' shiznit!
Those wheels and tires, however, look tiny and undersized. I'm not picking on them, mind you, I just think the truck deserves some madder meats pushing it uphill. I'll look in my wheel/tire stash and see if there's some 1/24 truck tires in there. The chains are awesome and should be totally duplicated on the bigger tires, if we find ya some.

Cuhail: My thoughts are totally in accordance with your's and Damian's regarding the tires; I've been thinking for a while that they were a little wimpy considering the girth of the rest of the truck. That said, don't put yourself out hunting through your stash as I'm far too lazy to take the tires off and make new ones... haha! 
Serves me right for not planning any of this out in advance. Maybe i should make a bunch of blankets and other stowage and really emphasize the smallness of the tires... hmmm.

I'm a big fan of Brian Setzer and the Stray Cats toured down under recently for the first time in 17 years. I was buzzing for weeks after.

I've actually been contemplating making a small tracked section to replace the rear tires - partially as a primer attempt before designing my entry for the EOD campaign, and partially because I'm just impatient and I don't want to wait. I don't think the size of the front pair of tires will look that odd if there's a tracked section in back. Hello homemade half track!

Will do. i've never actually had nor played a hollow body but I've want one for a long time. Sadly, a Gretsch is out of my price range. The casino has a 'natural' finish I believe, which is fine as I think all three look OK. Not sure what to expect as I've heard contrasting reports about the quality of them since they are built in China. Personally, I could give a crap where it's made as long as it's made well.
Btw, the Stray Cats rock!

After spending a few days musing about the tiny balls... er... wheels of the truck, I decided to make tracks as a replacement for the rear tires. I figure it should be good practice for building tracks for the EOD entry.
First, some templates:
And then moving onto styrene:
Assembled and with spikes:
Onto the track links... this is going to be tedious...
It's probably going to take a little while to make all the links, but I'm hoping it'll be worth the effort.
