So if we waiver the passes do we have to wait until 1000hrs to gain entry and set up our models or cam we pay to gain entry earlier????

Having been to Elvington several times, their event parking is a bit of a trek from the venue (well it was for Sam when we went In May) that's why I asked for passes, hoping they allow parking a bit closer to the venue or in the camp itself.

Sam and I are happy to have the passes to set up at 0800hrs and then pay entrance fee when the gates officially open as we fancy having a jobs worth not letting us in for two hours.

I don't have a camera at the moment and I don't think that I'll get around much as I'm going to trying to sell off a load of my kits. I'm sure that we can come up with something though

I have had a word with Martins wife, he was away at Elvington getting things ready. It seems like I'll probably be able to get in, without a pass, if I'm there early enough, or at least park close to the venue. Not that that was a concerne, as I intend to pay for entry anyway. I also asked about selling kits; which is not a problem, if there are only a few. I will have more than a few so I am probably going to pay trade stand rates to be able to do it. If anyone else is bringing kits to sell please be sensative about this and you can use my "trade stand" if you so wish. There might not be a table and I might be looking to sell them from under the club stand anyway, but will still be looking to pay for trade.

See ya all there.

Mal

Home, safe and sound had a great day meeting the family again and welcoming new members to the group as well.

Sam got her leg up and packed in ice and looking through her spoils of war, so I'm sure she's happy now too

Took lots of pictures so once I've sorted them out, I suppose I'll have to get round to writing a show report

Next show...... Newark (well for us anyway)

Nice to meet some of you today - Mal, Allan & Sam amongst you.

Bought lots of paints + pigments for by burnt out Panzer IV and got a Airfix Nimrod for 15

Highlight of the day though was seeing the fella with the life size R2-D2 buying the 200 quid Millenium Falcon - the look on his face was priceless as he handed over the credit card!
