hi, I like to build my model aircraft with seated crew figures, but it gets rather expensive locating and obtaining them. I have obtained some RTV silicone mold making and resin casting materials in order to make my own figures..does anyone have any tips and/or useful info..I understand that I need to make a 2-part mold and that casting a seated figure is quite different from casting a standing figure..I have a pilotless BSG viper that needs help..any help is greatly appreciated...thanks to all..

My suggestion is looking for videos over at “Youtube”. I picked up many tips and ideas that helped me along the way and having Arnold showing me first hand. But yeah look over on Youtube, just try typing in many ways of casting and be sure to look at those box links as well.

Have a look at the link below and go to the August 2009 newsletter, then click on Jason's Casting Workshop. That will give you all the information you will need.
Just be aware that the names of the products used will differ to that of the one's available in the US. But essentially the hints and tips will work for any RTV and Polyurethane product.
As for making a two part mold, I have in excess of 800 molds in my workshop and there are only about 10 that are made in two parts.
