Nice Sal .....mmmmmm whats the nice looking truck in the back ground?

Pete

Hey guys thanks that truck in the background is my AA campaign entry Hobby Boss GMC Bofers
Jeff the chain I used was a solid piece of plastic so moving it will be difficult. I'll try and make 1with your copper wire method and see how that works before I tear this one off

Sal, That sounds like a good plan. Like I said, it may take a couple of try's, but give it a run and see what you think. Jeff T.

Ok I tried Jeff's wire method for the chain this is what it looked like
 photo P1080221.jpg
and then installed
 photo P1080231.jpg
I added some weathering
 photo P1080230.jpg
 photo P1080234.jpg
and the jerry can and some markings to the rear
 photo P1080233.jpg
Is the weathering too much
Let me know what you guys thing I can lighten it up a bit

Sal, the important thing is, how do YOU like it?
As far as the weathering goes, I like it. It has that "I've been plowing for 24 hours straight in this truck to try and keep up with this GD storm and I sure hope it ends soon so I can get some rest" look. Jeff T.

Hey Sal looks good to me, a question I ask myself when weathering is what kind of conditions am I depicting it in, and how far can I go before it becomes out of place. As you have no diorama for this you can put as much dirt on there as you want within reason. As Jeff T says it looks like it's done a shift.
Superb mate leave as is.

Cheers Pete

I need some help deciding which model to build. Please "vote" for your choice and the one that gets the most votes I'll make for the Large Scale Campaign.
First is the Panda 1/16 scale Pz 38(t) Ausf E/F with some Panda PE and 1 figure

The second is the 1/24 Tasca Pz II Ausf F Africa Core with Aber PE and 2 Tristar Figures.

I'll let you make your choices thru the end of August, then with that public choice onward I go.

Thanks for your help here.

So I've been laying low in this thread lately, but progress on the Lotus 25 has been ongoing the past few weeks... and now it's done! Sorry for not posting more in progress photos, I've been pretty unhappy with it until it all started going together , but I'm proud of how it came out. The build was significantly more frustrating than I would have envisioned from Tamiya. Here's a lone teaser photo until I can break out the real camera.

Here is the first in process photo.
The tracks are a pain to put together. There are two pins, one to a side of the individual track, so I glued one in on one side them was able to turn the run over and do the other side.

Sorry for barging in in this thread that I am not involved in, but Im hoping somebody here can help me. I have a 1/24 or 75mm WW2 German figure from "The imperial gallery". I bought this at show quite cheap, but it came without a weapon. Does anybody know where I can buy a German rifle or machine gun in this scale. It is necessary because he is posed carrying something like this on his shoulder. Please PM me. Thank you.

Hi All,
The knight cometh before the dawn. I'm back from a business trip and getting back on the horse. Well, the horse will be next.

Worked on me lord's pants (which, back then were in two parts and did indeed come in 'pairs') and leather straps and belt. The red thing is the horse blanket that goes under the saddle. I thought a bit if red would help balance the rest of the colors. The blanket fringe is gonna be an off-white.

Lots of great work going on with pickups, race cars, tanks...

The Knight Cometh [together] Before The Dawn.

Got a few more leather straps to paint, some silver to drybrush on the metalwork, and then I'll start on the head and get back on the horse.
