@Jeff S.--Thanks! I'll go and enlist here shortly.

@Jeff T.--Hey there! Thanks for the kind offer, but I'm a bit of a purist who doesn't believe the gold harness (suit of armor) to be historically accurate. So I'll be doing it in a traditional steel color. I plan (plan mind you) to scratch build a shield, paint my family crest on it, and modify the helmet to a slightly elongated German schallern. I am also looking forward to trying some color modulation on the horse to reflect the differentiation in its coat.

Hi
Decided what I'm going to build.
It's the Italeri 1/24 Willy's Jeep.
I'm going to convert it to represent the Holden USMC Ambulance Jeep. A lot of scratchbuilding.

I'm up for it. I have a rather large white metal GMPG to build. No idea what scale it is but the gun is about 12" long.

We are allowed to start, yes?
Got the major subcomponents of the knight done. Not a bad fit. Now the steed is a different story. It will take lots of glue, a bit of putty, and some sanding.

So far it is a fun 'little' build.

Keith, I think I'm safe in saying that you will more than likely be the first one finished I'm going to have to put an addition on my bench berfore I start my build Jeff T.

@Jeff T.--I may be the first one to start, but I doubt I'll be the first to finish. I'll be doing a lot of business travel this first quarter, so my plan is to get this one and the KT ready for painting by Spring. I may take the KT road wheels and tracks on the road with me to work on in the hotel.

How is it you can go from a Braille build to this giant size one?

Keith,It's Tamiya's 1/25 Centurion Mk III.That's a great idea though If it doesn't go together well,I can always turn it into a Landing Craft Jeff T.

With the foreleg halves installed the horsey now has...four legs. (Bad joke, I know. But it was there so I had to use it)

I dug thru the stash, I picked this up maybe twenty yrs ago. It's motorized!!! and probably a wrong angle on the frontal armor, scales out too long etc.
That box art is just wrong

If at all a problem, no worries I'll choose another!

Dave... if you're man enough to tackle a Toy Star model, then it's okay with me.

I built the SU-100 from them and it was some fun.

And Andy... got a picture of this 1/48th scale?

@Andy--interesting kits. Didn't they start out as extras, or bonuses, in their respective aircraft kits? The -109 is cool lookin', but the -110 is a bit plain and generic.

And forgive me for perusing your pic...but is that duel computer monitors I see?!...on your workbench?! Genius! If I could get away with that in my set-up in my finished basement my wife might never see me again.

Hi,

I have been following this campaign with interest and was wondering if an Esci 1/9 scale Kubelwagen that I started years ago (it is not finished by any stretch of the imagination and is in several sub assemblies at the moment) would be eligible for this campaign. I am not sure what constitutes 50% done, if you could advise me I would be very grateful.

All the best,

Paul

Alas no duel PC monitors I have enought distractions with one!!! ,the right hand one is a 18" flat screen TV connected to my sky box and a dvd player,I think it was Batman on the movie channel when I took the pic
Lets scare some plastic!!!

Hi Jeff,

Here are some photos of the Kubelwagen, I had to get a lot of dust off the box top as it has been in 'hibernation' for a fair number of years. My son bought me this for a Father's Day present all that while back, even though he knew I was a Braille modeller, probably thought I needed a change. I hope it will be eligible for the campaign, but if you think it isn't that will be ok, now I have got it out I will probably finish it anyway.

Here are the pictures...

What's left to put together...

Look forward to your reply.

All the best,

Paul
