Tom, really nice finish on that JS2, was all the white stripe brush painted or did you mask it and airbrush it.

It was done by airbrush. The white was done first, then let it dry for a few days. I then masked it off with the yellow tamiya tape. Then the dark green was applied with the airbrush.
The tape was removed. Then the gloss coat, decals, pin wash, flat coat, general dusting of grime.
Thanks for the compliment, I feel honored because of all the well done models already shown in the forum thread.

Jan, nice extra details on the T-70, and great job weathering it. Where the rusty mufflers done with pigments? Really nice finish.

This is the progress and end result of the Techmod T-70.

First the intention was to do a Sumer version but,..the Winter variant just looks way better. So used some hairspray and white.

I used acrylic Vallejo, Mr scurfer, oil paints (cheap brand and Abt502), several pigments, hairspray, wall paint (for the mud) and a pencil to colour this small tank. And some plastic card, tape and copper wire to add some life to it.
Thinking about a base and adding a figure but will take some time, so I will let it as it is.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your loss Kimmo, let the model bench be your therapy and not your stress.

I too could use a bump on the deadline John. Diverting energies for a cubscout pinewood derby creation was fun, but shaved off some time for the JSU-152.

An update on my Braille JS-2 build:

(1) I've started preparing the assemblies for painting. Masked off the lower hull and tracks as I've already painted it:

(2) Primer of Black Metal has been applied to the model:

Next task: to apply the Russian Green paint and kit decals

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your Dad must have been very close to you for it to have affected you.

Take care and remember modeling is just a hobby, not a real life issue.

Best Regards and Happy Easter,

Jeff

I agree with Jeff.
Kimmo, don't worry, take small steps coming back, this works as a therapy for all of us.

pysyäkseen vahvoina

I'll extend it for another 2 weeks for now, if anyone needs more time let me know, ok ?
My inbox is always open for requests.

Well, I definitly need an extension. I had another campaign to build into our local show for february and that took all my time back then. When that was over, I had plans to rapidly finish my KV-2 for this campaign... But then real life decided to throw all sad/bad things on my way.. First my dad's health went down very dramaticly and fast, after coupe weeks of struggeling, he past away on 19th of March. My world shattered on pieces at that moment..
So you can guess, I haven't been on mood for modeling for some weeks, even living everyday life has been a wast task to cope. I have made small steps into modeling during last days as therapy for me and I try to do my best.. Let's see how far it takes me..

Does anyone else need an extension?...If it's just me then it's not worth it and it seems most are nearing completion already.

I am so far behind with this campaign that I was considering throwing in the towel, but my other camp. (T-54/55/62 one) has been extended and if the same happens here I might try dividing up my time to try and get both done.

As I say, if it's just me, nevermind! I took on too many campaigns to start off as a new modeller.

Hi everyone. After a long time i managed to build the ASU 57 that i started months ago. Not exactly pro built, but looks good for a very cheap kit. Added only the canvas. So good or bad here it is.

Jeff D. Nice work there. I'm building the same kit (the Allanger version) and like it a lot. Lots of potential with that shape.
