I finally saw some Fords over here. Unfortunately it was just the letters F O R D painted on the back of some old Toyota mini vans.

If or when this gets approved I'll be in with 1969 muscle cars. 69 Hurst Olds and 69 Plymouth GTX

Ok folks, the banter is flying thick and fast already, just how we want it! We have 12 interested parties, so it is time to submit our proposal formally. I have summarised to rules below, but we can tweak things if necessary before the chequered flag drops on New Years Day !
The Rules and Regs
1. Run Time January 1 2015 to December 31 2015 (Date applies to your local time)
2. Manufacturer Based - Chev/Pontiac/Caddy vs Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge (plus alts if accepted)
3. All participants are required to complete 2 builds, one from each camp, to qualify for a ribbon.
4. 8- and 6-cylinder powerplants only allowed, put up a 4 and you might get run over
5. Any scale, any era, stock/street/mild/wild allowed
6. Trucks, civilian or military allowed
7. OOB or modified builds allowed
8. Any number of builds allowed, just one ribbon per person
9. VonCuda and I are Co-leaders, since we get along so well. If one of us is absent, the other will make any calls required
10. Sniping is allowed, expected, and in fact required, but please don't let it get personal.
11. All enlisted MUST relax, have fun and enjoy their builds. This is a hobby.
I will also keep a running list of participants, their preferred brand, and their intended builds, so please let me know once you decide on a kit, or if you change your mind at any stage.

Can I build a Swamp Rat for my Mopar? or is that pushing it.
What Chev would you put up against it Rob? The general idea is to put up a pair of similar but opposed builds, so I will have to think about that one!
I'm feeling physically sick tonight, I actually handed over real proper cash for a 67 Charger kit ! Oh dear, what have I done ?

Damian,
That's OK, I was not really serious.
Although it is the only kind of Mopar that can give a Chevy a run for the money.
I will have to pick up a kit, at least I don't have to buy a Ford.
Cheers Rob.

That wouldn't be a fair fight, we might make it Ford vs Trabant

I have just submitted the proposal guys, it's in the hands of the admin superpowers now.

I might join in, nearer the start date.
If I do, I may have to start a new display area for the finished models, 'cos my main shelving is full of COBRAs and MUSTANGs (otherwise known as real MUSCLE cars).

You may need to log in on that page, or just go to the campaign tab. If that doesn't work I made a Dodge...errr, mistake somewhere.

Enlisted. As James said, when you hit the link to the Group Build page you sometimes need to log in again. The Group Build page recognises you as a Hemi supported and automatically hits the EJECT button!
Dave, I think you and Mark desperately need to participate here, you are both suffering some serious delusions.
Rob, you've been taking lessons from Hermon I see. Poor misguided souls, hopefully by the end of these shenanigans you might see the real truth, but I fear it may be too late for some.
Cheers, D

Bump time folks, keep the interest levels high !
For those of you unsure of the rules, please see below . . .
This car is GOOD

and this car is BAD

This kit is GOOD

and this kit is BAD

This car doesn't belong, really, at all

Ok, I think I have made that clear enough. But just in case, this car is REALLY REALLY GOOD !

Hi David, and welcome to the Kitmaker family. You'll get a lot out of being here I'm sure.
'69 Camaro is good, in fact it is legendary, but please don't forget that you need to build a Hemi (choking on my words there) as well to qualify for a ribbon.
I find Photobucket is the easiest photo storage and manipulation tool, it's free and easy to use.
Cheers, D

I have two questions
#1 Do both models have to be the same scale?
#2 Any idea on a campaign ribbon?

Hi Darrell.
No, scale doesn't matter, just subject matter. I was hoping to do a 1:1 '57 Chev Nomad but the Minister for War and Finance has power of veto and exercised it in no uncertain terms !
I couldn't find a 1/700 Hemi kit anywhere
Still thinking about that one, any suggestions or contributions gratefully accepted.
Cheers, D
