I've checked -- the last time Robbert aka Molentik was online was 17th April. I have sent him a PM. Let's see what happens in a week's time.

Howdy Y'all
I just placed an order tonight for ICM's WWI US Infantry equipment. I have some repairs/replacement for some Guadalcanal Marines by Dragon that I did a couple of years ago. I hope Molentik is still open to running this campaign.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

I believe we met the minimum number of interested participants to get this thru the process. Paging Robert aka Molentik...

i would be able to sort an M1 Abrams, Humvee's, a hip helicopter and two hind helicopters I've given up on, one of which is destroyed.
so i would be more than happy to join this campaign. i could probably use up some parts of previous failed kits with it too.

A little accident Tad where 2 shelves got demolished....pity it wasn't the shelf of shame rather than my best efforts over the last few years.

Bump time, or has this one died a graceful death?
I'd still be interested in this campaign.
Take care,

I am up for a home improvement II. First one was fun, so I am sure home improvement II could be even better

Well, i have been fixing up old kits lately and got bunch left to do.
Was about to do 1/72 fennek one night but ended up working on something else.
Got to do beforememtioned fennek, 1/16 tiger as not happy with its camo, 1/35 hellcat, one of my older models scared of it by now, m2 bradley in need of paint, cromwell and revells 1/72 m48a5...not commenting on that kit.

Quoted Text
- 'What-if' subjects are allowed, but must be plausible.
If you consider something like this as "plausible" I'd be in to do something similar again.
I took two old crappy Humvee builds to build what I call my "Leatherman Humvee":

I'd definitely be up for this as I've got loads of stuff I built years ago which I look at now and think "that looks crap. It needs redoing". I did it with an Sdkfz 250/9 last year to go with another halftrack(needed finishing off as it had been sat in a box half done for years so did it for Unfinished Business) I was using in an Arnhem dio and it came out completely different and to a level I was pleased with. Keep pushing it and I'm sure there'll be ten of us in no time as we've all got stuff we've consigned to the loft because we've improved our skills.

Sal is correct. Home Improvement Campaign ends soon. I'd be up for another round...either as Home Improvement or as Recycling Campaign. I've got a goodly number of older kits that could use a facelift.

I would have to agree it's similar to the Home Improvement Campaign. That's what makes it nice-another H.I. Campaign. I wouldn't mind working on some old models to make them look better. I almost threw an old Russian "Boomer" out this week but couldn't bring myself to do it.
Sure, count me in. I hope this includes all models and not just armor but I can also do Armor.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Sounds interesting. I surely have several unfinished / disaster builds to choose from and re-purpose. Am in. Cheers

Lately I've been 'recycling' some old models I have made that I'm not satisfied with and turning them in something else. I think it would be nice to do this in a campaign with other people. The idea is to take a old model you are not satisfied with for any reason, either finished or not, and improve it.
For example taking the turret of an old Panther and turning it into a Pantherturm diorama, making a Priest SPG into one of those armored personel carriers they used in Normandy, or just taking a vehicle where you messed up the paintjob and repainting it. 'Creativity' is the name of the game, and this campaign would be a good exercise to practise your scratchbuilding skills or those new weathering techniques you want to use on that €200 kit + aftermarket sets that is burning a hole in your stash!
Campaign rules;
- kit must have been finished or started for a fair amount and stalled for whatever reason. Tell us what went wrong or what you aren't satisfied with.
- any scale, era and subject
- conversions or scratchbuilding is encouraged, but not mandatory
- 'What-if' subjects are allowed, but must be plausible. For example turning a Stuart into a light recovery vehicle with a light crane or a truck chassis with a scratchbuild superstructure a la Mad Max is good, putting a 2cm Flak gun on a motorcycle is not! Provide a backstory if you can.
- Progress pictures are mandatory.
So this campaign would be a combination of the 'Unfinished business', 'Machines of the mind' and 'Home improvement' campaigns that have already finished, or are about to finish in the next couple of weeks.
Proposed campaign dates are starting in January 2016 running to May 2016.
I would love to know if there is an interest in such a campaign
