Not a lot going on with my Tunisian Tiger, but being off from work this week,I'm slowly adding details.

Anthony,
I've avoided the Feifels since my first Tamiya Tiger years ago. Though, I guess if you wanna do a Tunisian Tiger....

Glad to see your progress!

Hey fellas. I decided to go ahead and the dark green. I also painted some of the road wheels. I need to finish up the rest of them.

I also need to touch up the hull red line where the fenders would have been. Overall I think it came out ok.

Cheers

Hello,

Nice progress you have there Dustin -- looking good!

While looking for the whereabouts of my Jagdtiger, I found a couple of braille cats -- a Tiger and a Sturmtiger. I recall buying these from a fire sale years back. All complete, except for its boxes, they came real cheap.

So I decided to forego my original plan and go with these two instead:

I started with the Tiger. Not much parts to go around, it builds quick and quite straightforward.

The turret had holes to mount spare tracks -- didn't want to go for it so had to fill them up. The upper and lower hulls are currently dry-fitted -- need to fill up that gap in front.

I've glued the rubber-band tracks and waiting for it to set -- hopefully it behaves.

Cheers,

Tat

Not bad for 1/72 scale, Tat!

But, ahem...this campaign is for "big" cats...lol.

Of course, I'm only kidding. Can't wait to see them both complete.

Cheers,

Gaz

Thank you fellas! I finished painting the road wheels and spare tracks. Now just need to do the detail painting.

Sorry for the poor lighting

Tat, that Tiger is looking nice!

One side of the tracks on. I still would like to do friuls on this. I'll see how these turn out first.

Looks pretty sharp. You can also try MasterClub tracks. The come in resin and metal. Both are a bit cheaper than Frulis.

Thank you Armorsmith! I looked at the website you told me about and I didn't see any for the King Tiger or Jagdtiger. I'll look again

They might not carry them for the KT or none exists, although I'm pretty sure I saw them somewhere. Then again my memory is not as good as it was so I could very well be mistaken.

Man, I am so stupid. I started building an old Dragon Panther in the middle of building a Pz III H and a BF109G-6 and forgot to enlist in this campaign.

Except for the bits that need to be painted separately and assembled later, the overall assembly is now finished. Time for a first layer of paint!

If you don't mind me asking. What's are the doors that stick out on the turret?

The desert kitty is moving along nicely. This cat is assembled, primed, and ready for its basecoat.

I started roadwheel madness, there is just so many including alternate one provided by the kit,so I'm just doing one row at a time so I don't get confused.

I will also attempt to use this DAK commander figure

Looking good, Anthony! I learned one thing about road wheels when I was a kid: never, ever build a PzKw IV immediately after building another PzKw IV based vehicle.

Thanks for the comments guys. Am giving the rubbber-band tracks extra time to set before mounting them.

I echo what the others said Anthony -- looking forward to seeing its warpaint.

Gaz, am now now building a Pz IV for the 500+ campaign. I already racked up 300 parts just to get roadwheels + suspension assembled. Put in another 200 or so for the indy links

Cheers,

Tat

Well, Dustin, since you okayed it, here's my entry.

I don't have any beginning photos like I do for the Pz III as the III was my focus; the Panther was just a distraction while I waited for glue to dry and stuff. I was also working on a BF109 at the same time. Gotta keep busy, right? Oh, and I decided to add a Stug as I didn't have one of those on my shelf yet, either. So, this is the kit:

As I wasn't sure on the accuracy of the IR gear or how to dress it up, I decided to leave all that off and build a straight-up late production model, mostly OOB but with a few bits and bobs from the spares, and for the first time my own hand-wound tow cables.

Here's what's left over:

The instructions and paint guide I won't be following:

A few in-progress shots:

Panther and pals getting ready for their primer coats:

Hope to lay paint this weekend; have online school ending summer term and then public school starts in two weeks so its back to work.
