Michael, I would be up for this one!
I have 1 or 2 Takom kits that would work quite well.

I'm already in a couple of campaigns, but this would take priority. While I've built several tanks in observance of the anniversary of the Great War, I've still got a Takom Whippet (to upgrade my Emhar kit) that I could throw at this. I'd definitely be interested.

I am in. I have built the Tamiya Mk IV Male and enjoyed the build very much. I have been fondling my Hobbyboss Char Schneider lately, so I guess it is time to give it a build!
Thanks,
Stephen

Ahhh, the tracks. The tracks are AWFUL. But I have a solution when the time comes.

I just elisted yesterday but will have to make up my mind between the Meng A7V or the Meng Mk.V Female. Decisions, decisions.

So, no ribbon yet. How does this look to you all?

Simple, but effective (or at least I think so).

That looks good to me, I like the rhomboid shape for the outline.

I'm in! I can't resist a WWI Campaign.
I just have to decide between an FT, a Mk IV Male, a MK I Female and a late St. Chamond.

To One and All,
As I mentioned earlier, I am going to build the Char Schneider, the cool, boxy French thingy. I know the tracks are a bear, so I have the Fruils, but they do not look much better, so I may 'steal' the tracks from the Meng FT-17, since they were the same.
I caught the WWI bug when I built the very nice Tamiya Mk IV Male kit. Here is a picture of that beastie completed.
I hope to start in the next week or so.
Thanks,
Stephen

Very nice, Stephen! Don't forget that the campaign doesn't officially start until 1 November (next Wednesday).

I'm keen on joining in. Have built a few WW1 tanks and have a few in the stash. Will pull something out later and have something a little different in mind....

And I'm building Meng's A7V:

Actually I would prefer to build Mark V, but this is what I have in stash. Not complaining, should be fun build anyway

I've decided to go with Takom's Mk I Female for this campign. I'm going to add MR Modellbau's "Correction Set" with the improved driver's cab.

That's what it would've looked like to someone standing in a trench. Not a welcome sigth I'm sure. From a different angle it's similar in size to later Sherman models:

Running gear (except tracks) is mostly there, and superstructure will probably reach top the the M51's turret. So far I'm pleased with Meng's design. Good level of detail, and easy to build.

Very nice, Pasi! I have that one and will be building it one of these days. For this campaign, however, I think I'll stick to my current Takom theme:

While I've always planned to do the Male version, I'm glad I got this box rather than the original as this one has the much easier one piece snap together track links rather than the infamous 5 piece (?) links in the first boxing.
Michael
