in the family we have few stories handed down from the period of both world wars,always told in part by my grandmother but because she was already a teenager and involved in the partisan war did not talk a lot about it, or by the younger brothers and sisters, my great-grandfather and uncle who lived them directly rarely spoke about it and I understand them.

Had more than a few Moretti myself, mainly in Italy itself. We have a friend in Milan that we visit as often as we can.
My Grandparents were Dutch and my Grandfather worked with the resistance there. Never spoke about it at all, only found out after he died and my Grandmother started to fiull us in. She had some great stuff to listen to, as well.

The world is very small i am from the italian speaking region of Switzerland 1hr north of Milan and my Father in law is Dutch,move in Oz when was a little kid,my wife grand father was beaten-up by Nazi's when was just a kid
If you go to Milan at the end of September you have to go to Novegro Hobby Model Expo is huge, I used to go there every year, this year finally I can go to QMHE in Ipswich.

Back to the subject of beer... "American Beers" aren't really American Beers anymore. Budweiser, Anheuser Busch is owned by InBev a Belgian Company and Miller-Coors is owned by SAB or South African Brewing. Pabst Beer is the largest US owned brewery and until VERY recently they didn't brew a single drop! It was ALL contract brewed ! Now they've started a micro brewery and are brewing all of their old time beers using the old recipes from the 40's & 50's.Some of it is quite tasty. It's what Grandpa drank.If you're going to try a Moretti try the La Rossa a dark slightly sweet brew. If it was a German beer it would be similar to a Doepple Bock. High alcohol content, more bang for your buck.
Back to the real subject..... This looks like a real winner ! I'll be in with the new Tamiya Stuart and MAYBE a dio to put it on. The Stuart is for our SWAMPS Club group build so two birds with one stone on this one.

The Re-2001 is 1/48. Being an old Redleg, I’m leaning towards the Bishop. Very nice kit and this boxing includes the ammo trailer. Has markings for Sicily 1943. Made to order for the campaign.

Perfect timing as it gives me time to clear my current campaign commitments, wipe my slate clean, and take some advice and upgrade some of my tools. Not sure what I'll build but a Miniart Valentine or Riich Universal Carrier seem like good choices. Just wondering if anyone can tell me which Marks never saw Italy so I don't go wrong here. Or possibly a Bronco Humber Mark II.
