Hi Just a few words to start this build off...It's a Flak 88 36 mounted on a Sd.Anh.202 trailer...The size will be 1/6 scale...I have to scratch build it as the Armortek kit is no longer available and I couldn't afford 4K English pounds which is double in dollars where I live " just ridiculous "
I will use alloy steel and brass.. Have got plenty of Pics and some measurements to get me going.....might take a few weeks to get started as I need to purchase several different size alloy square- round bar and 3-5mm sheet..
The length approx just over 1 meter 300 high..a future project will be a Sd.Kfz.8 series DB9 Half track to tow the Flak 88
Havent thought about camouflage paint detail but like North Africa sand yellow

Sounds great! If I can make a suggestion -- make sure you research which variant you wish to build. The 8.8cm Flak 36 and the 8.8cm Flak 37 were different guns based on upgraded equipment -- there was no such thing as a "Flak 36/37".
I wrote an article a few years back about the differences if you care to look: http://www.track-link.com/articles/1203

Hi Roy Thanks for the infomation..no doubt I will need more as I move along.. The Unit will be 36 ..A lot of the pics and information I have refer it as 18.36.37..... I can see the difference in the 18 series but the 36.37 dont look that different to me..must be minor
Could you please explain the difference as I haven't found any information except that it had a separate gunfire control and a pointer on the elevation scale..
Most of the information I have referred the gun as Flak88 18/36/37 or Flak 88 18/36 or Flak 88 36.37...I know everybody has their own interpretation but it can be confusing ..as I not a Armor specialest I rely on what I read...I just like building things

Hi Had a big chunk of alloy bar turn up today..160mm diameter x 100mm long..I have to cut a 30mm biscuit off this....These two pieces will make the gun turrent..This will keep me busy on the lathe for a few days

Hi Doug: The difference between the Flak 36 and the Flak 37 was in the caged light dials (36) versus the clock-faced indicator dials (37). The fuze setter devices were also different.
Also the 37 eliminated the auto-rammer equipment. Good luck w/your project!!
