Looking forward to see some great builds again this time around.

What are your thoughts and plans for your build for the campaign?

Well..... I have a Panther F type which I will say is my fall back option ..... done as a late World War 2 (1947-50) what if with a matt black and 2 tone green abstract camo paint job and some additional what if tweaks .... but....
I would like to try a first genuine Sci Fi model so I will begin looking at options for that as well.

Bandai 1/35 Hovertruck
Moebius Mk II or Mk VII Viper in 1/32.

Here is my Not-My-Actual-Entry-Sharing-Out-Of-Intrest build. This is the HobbyBoss 1/48 YF-23 being painted as an in-service F-23A of the 1st TFW. As you can see I'm almost at the decal stage, just need to spray a few panels in a different metallic shade this evening.

My actual entry will be the Academy 1/48 F-22, which I started maybe 10 years ago (feels like yesterday!). Originally I wanted to do this in a funky digital Japanese aggressor camo, but now I can't find the decal sheet So instead I'm going to build it as front line squadron bird, in funky Japanese special markings. It may also get a N Korean or Chinese kill marking or two

I'm in.

I'll be using elements from the unfinished Cantina build from the SciFi/What-if 6. I decided to drop the whole space cantina idea. That build just got bogged down and I lost interest in it.

I'll be using some of those figures for some automobile kit builds. The rest will be repurposed in to this build with some Gundam figs. The 1/24 figs work well with the gundams' size. The Gundams will not be based on canon Gundams...which I realy don't know much about anyway. I'll be using them more along the lines of WH40k styled Marines...minus the Heretical purgings.

If that doesn't work out I've got a few more ideas stashed away in the closet.

Alex,
I'm happy you'll continue with your Cantina figures, it looks like you put a lot of work into it. Can't wait to see them finished using your new ideas.
Take care and stay safe,

Greetings everyone!

Ive been itching to build the T95/T28 Super Heavy Tank for a while, so ill be building it for this campaign. The 105 mm Gun Motor Carriage T95 was slated for use against German defenses, then shifted for use in the proposed invasion of the Japanese mainland. This never happened, and the two prototypes were used for testing in the US/

My idea: The Manhattan project doesn't succeed and Operation Downfall was carried out in early 1946. One of the 105 mm Gun Motor Carriage T95 prototypes was operated by the USMC's 1st Heavy Tank BN which included Pershings. This T95 received some field modifications to help increase crew survivability.

This is what I'm thinking for modifications:

Ill end up painting the tank in the Dark Green/Red Earth/Tan & Black camo scheme seen on several USMC Tanks on Iwo Jima or Okinawa.

Well here is what I will be running with.

It will be done as the what if continued WW2 into 1946/47. Will be pretty much OOB with a few tweaks and an alternative camo on it.
Looking forward to seeing everyone elses now.

Is it OK if I start just little, mini, tiny bit early?

I did a test and the materials I'm working with an it takes tens of hours to dry (soaking process - painfully obvious).

I of course, will glad share any prize money I win...

One more day. I'll be starting with the Hovertruck, and the workbench will be empty of other projects as of this evening.

Start picture from Wednesday.

Thinking about trying a splinter camo scheme, not sure yet.

Greetings,
Do we have a campaign gallery setup? I couldn't find one while I was goofing around on the site.

Here is my entry, a couple of adorable little A-Wings.

Excited to see this campaign underway!

I started on the T-95 a few days before the official start, and I made good progress over the long weekend.

Part of my 'field mod' plans included adding these wooden planks.

Howdy Y'all
My model just arrived today. I could not determine from web articles if the F-Toys Sandcrawler was actually a model kit. I think one site said it was a 3-piece kit. I ordered it and it is not a kit to assemble. It's more like a miniature:

That said, I would still like to use it as my build for this campaign. I'm planning on totally repainting it and see what kind of rust job I can do with the paints, weathering products and pigments I already own. Then I'll put it on a base of sand to display it in its natural element.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to catch Episode IV a few times.
Take care and stay safe,

OK - I'm done.
I call it Deconstruct Diorama (that's what they say on all the Cooking Show the Wife watches).
LOL

Actually, I haven't started an saw nobody fell for other post. Must work on humor skills as well as modeling skills...

This one is scrap box only. And the Humvee I tried to build in at least 2 different campaigns. 3rd time is the Charm.

Anybody want to guess what all that cardboard if for?

Tom,
Is the cardboard going to be used as corrugated tin?

Also, what HMMWV kit is that?
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with

Tom,
That HMMWV has been a shelf queen for 6+ years?? you aren't kidding about it being a real veteran. Hopefully, you can get it finished this time around!

I liked that Iraqi Marder you had going on too!

Hi guys,
I like the progress on your builds so far. I'm finally getting a chance to post my start photo for this campaign.

This is the RDA Gunship model kit by 4D in 1/165 scale. Kit code is T2506.

RDA is the acronym for Resources Development Administration from the movie AVATAR, as used on the planet Pandora.

The AT-99 “Scorpion” Gunship is a VTOL ducted fan rotor, Mosquito-class targeting and missile launch platform. Outfitted to escort shuttle landings and take-off, close air fire support for military operations and air support for mining operations, the Scorpion is the gunship of choice for the RDA on Pandora. The Scorpion Gunship is primarily used in the protection of RDA assets against the various hostile forces of Pandora including ground predators, large ground herbivores in territorial attacks, aerial predators, and indigenous Na’vi forces attacking by ground and/or air. Miners, geologists, survey teams, ground patrols and other base personnel operating outside the perimeter are also assisted by the air superiority the Scorpions offer. It is more heavily armed than the Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson, which is the light ducted-fan craft designed to carry out mostly non-combat missions. The Samson can be armed with door guns, detachable rocket pods, and is the workhorse of RDA operations on Pandora.

I intend to display it in flight in a vignette with a native creature to be determined.

Thanks
John
