Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
Damian, I've been toying with the idea of trying those as well based on seeing your results. So many choices now.

Hi David,
Nice looking tractor! and man, you pulled this one together pretty fast!
I'll second D's comments on Vallejo Metal Color (in fact, one of his reviews turned me on to them!) - I've airbrushed and hand painted with them and really like the results. Depending on your goals, it can look really shiny or can be a bit more dull. They have lots of color choices to experiment with.
If applying some shade of silver metal color over a primary paint color, I have found first painting the part I want silver with a good Vallejo Model Air silver shade as a base, then hit with the Metal Color.
The Metal Color is thinned pretty heavily, so direct application over a base color (like red etc) can become somewhat unpredictable, and the final part can be shaded like the base color - sometimes interesting, other times - not.
Ok - sorry to go on and on!
Looking forward to your next post
Cheers
Nick

David,
I'd say that one really nice cab build. Can't wait to see it paired up with a trailer and type of your choice.

Thanks Joel. I've got a gravel trailer and a 40' dry van in the stash, leaning toward the 40'er at the moment.
