Well Don`t think that I`m not working on it because I don`t post that much.
I`m still working on collecting all the material for my dio. So far I have managed to get together about 95% of the parts. Tomorrow I hope to get the last piece and then I can start on it.

I have all the components I need... now just to start working on it... (may be a little as I am committed to a few other campaigns).

I am putting together the two GI's under a german tank.

I have the radio man all set and ready for painting, the tank has to come together and the second GI still has to be pieced out-I am using a Tamiya US GI Gun and Mortar kit.

Coming along slowly.

At present I am still waiting on a M4A1 75mm Sherman(early) kit. Can't seem to find one "in stock" anywhere...

Ola Guys

Just a little heads up.
Today I bought the last ingredients for my Up Front dio. The hands. Really important pieces as I have to scratch/sculpt my own figure. Jeep assembly will happen very soon and of course I will keep you guys in progress of the fig sculpting.

The Campaign kicked off.

One of my principal supporting actors, a cow, was due in shortly thereafter. The cow arrived, unfortunately, with two right sides instead of one left & one right.

I coordinated for a replacement left side. Evidently it got "rustled" enroute, because it is now a week overdue.

So I'm starting over and am seriously behind. I should have gone to Plan B & switched to another cartoon, but have been distracted by other things ....

Well, I finally got my "Magic Sculpt", and started to convert the figures. Basicly just glued together some basic body parts, then ground down to basic stick figures. Replaced the heads with Hornets, but kept the plastic hands, and shoes. Other than that, nothing else to report. On vacation starting tomorrow, so hopefully will get them done this week. (at least the conversion...... :-) :-) :-) :-)

Up for lunch someday this week John?????

Started the figure conversions. Using this Magic Sculpt. Never used it before, seems to be a lot better than the old Elmer Plumbers Putty I use to use. Much finer grain, and smooths really easy. So far favorite tool has be the old fasion toothpick and a few old paint brushes. :-) :-) :-) The last time I converted a figure, was pre-dentures...... so bear with me... :-) :-) :-) :-) .

Sorry to say, I'm going to have to bail out of this campaign...I feel terrible about it, but I have just too much going on with the holidays, school, work and family to make a decent showing...that and I took way too long getting everything together for my dio...

Yeah, I'm out of it also -- I'm on 3rd attempt to get my missing cow parts in & my whole plan was to have the cow so I could make the figures work with it, so bottom line I have done nothing. At this stage even if Santa dropped the parts off, I'd never make it.

As I said before, I should have gone to plan B a lot sooner.

Thanks for offering the campaign up, I really wanted to do it.

John
