Hi Thomas and A big welcome aboard to Kaki Model Malaysia. We have a sizeable group here but its been real quiet this past 4 months or so. I guess coz everybody must be either busy with their work and family. There are at least 2 other active members in your neighborhood, one is Valkyrie (Kedah) and the other Haunted Tank (Penang).

BTW Boss, I spoke to Floogen recently and he is asking when your'e going to call him for the face painting help. You might want to give him a call.

Thomas I'm glad you find the articles useful. Finally I'm not alone, another Special forces fan on our Community forum. Which era are you interested in for Special forces?

As for me I find SF from all eras fascinating. Small groups of determined, highly motivated & trained men operating miles behind enemy lines operating in total secrecy and getting no fame whatsoever for their efforts....What is there not to like. Just a bit of trivia but the first non-american to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor was a British SBS operative for his role in Afghanistan. Imagine that and hardly anybody other than those involved even knows his name, much less his face.

Currently in my Nam era for SF after finishing a few dios of SF in the modern era. Still a long ways to go on my face painting but I got some pics in my gallery. I guess you already know it but you can view everyone's work here in our forum or in Amorama by just clicking "My Photos" on our posts. Working myself slowly back to WW II. Any chance of seeing some photos of your work?

Dekat office lah Boss. Ponteng kerja while still at work as usual. The internet here is slower than a snail. Sometimes the time it takes to view a page, you can probably spray paint a whole Tiger and even do a bit of weathering.

Hi everybody,
I am Jeff Ong, a Kelantanese who work in JB for almost 10 years and just shifted down to KL lately. I working as a sales engineer 4 a timber based structure engineering firm in Puchong Jaya.
I used to build 1:35 scale modern & ww2 armor kits, mostly with some simple diorama.
I like to paint 1:35 scale figures too but force to stop it due to bad eye sight, probably sign of old age...ha! ha!
I am now try to complete my T-35(complete with eduard photoeatched, ICM kit), BTR 60(verlinden kit), sdkfz.250 neu(complete photoeatched, dragon kit), etc.....WITH all those kits lay on my workbance and yet still eyeing on the 3 in 1 Tiger 1 at Hobby HQ!

Hello Yipun. Besides this forum, we have began organizing get together Show-and-Tell sessions for every month. We will be glad if you could join us in our next session.

Guys, the last session was a little bit too rush. Let's hope the forthcoming session is much more interesting.

A big welcome aboard Jeff and Yipun. Yes Silantra is right Jeff, your office ain't too far from my house at Pusat Bandar Puchong. Your more than welcome to visit. Just let me know.

Its nice to have another young lady aboard but I afraid to say old f*rts like myself and Patrick (Haunted Tank) here go back even further. Unfortunately for us we started when Airfix was the only models around and enamels were sold in little tins at RM1 each. At least that how much it was, I think. Memory is getting worse (a convenient excuse given to the wife to avoid housework, heheheh).

Hello all,

Oops, i should have read this thread before i created the new one (where i introduced myself). Sorry...

Hmm...it looks like that there ARE lots of fellow modellers from Malaysia after all ( and female modellers as well).
Well, i am 34 now, and had been modelling since Standard 5 . Started off with the Rm 1.00,snap-together models with peel off stickers.. Then it was matchbox models (those with 2 or 3 colours where painting is not necessary for beginners) and airfix. Then upgraded to Tamiya models and had stayed on with Tamiya as i find Tamiya stuffs are really top notch .
Then I had the chance to study in Canada. There i bought lots of Monogram and Testors models (as it is cheaper compared to Tamiya ).
So, it nice to be in this forum and i hope to see some of your models being displayed. I shall take pics of some of my models as well..

Lim, do you have a silver ring on your last finger of your working hand? Anyhow, welcome to the forum.

The Malaysian Kaki Modellers here have posted quite a bit photos in their gallery. If you like to see some actual models on display, we have a small display area in HHQ. We are still looking for supporters before we run out of models for display. So far, we have had a Kilo sub, Typhoon sub and now Minenraumer together with SdKfz 7 for display. Can you help

Hello Argrillion

That sub of yours really looks super. Nope, I do not have a ring in any of my fingers (...at the moment) . I would love to go to HHQ again. I have not gone to HHQ for like ages already but i had participated in around 3 competitions organised by them years ago. (er..nope, didnt win anything...Hrrmmph..goes to show the quality of my models, oh well...). After that i entered competitions organised by MH (before they moved to Megamall).
I love to attend the SnT in Sept 2005.

I will take pics of my models and post them here ( ...now need to surf the need for some really good pics and make them my own ..kekekek)
