Honored Comrades,

Another tool for the powerful Soviet forces to hold back the expansionist West:
A FROG 3 rocket mounted on a PT-76 tank body launcher.

This is an old Glencoe Models kit in 1/32. Not exactly a high water mark in plastic model technology. But every hard working Soviet laborer enjoys a challenge.

Note to Self: I’ve got to stop spending 10 rubles or less for a kit.

This one didn’t even come w/ any hatches, added some w/ rounded wooded caps. Will put some Mr. Surfacer on them to take out the grain. Also kit was cast a standard PT-76 required filling water intakes and grinding off water jet covers (the FROG versions were not amphibious). The FROG rocket looks more like a US Honest John then anything Soviet. If time allows I might build something to replace it.

I saw one of these kits at my LHS but decided not to buy it because of the 1/32 scale. Yours looks awesome - I didn't think anybody would bother with an old kit and an odd subject. Can't wait to see it completed.

Chosen one, you choose the right colour!

It's a real low tech kit! But finnishing this kit into a beautifull model is what separates modellers from kit-assemblers, like the man from the boys.
Cant wait too see it finnished!

Nice work on the tank comerade! Must be a big and dangerous warhead on it seeing how big it is.
