OK, I've mentioned this idea here a few weeks ago, but I didn't get any response so I'll try again.

Campaign name: Not yet decided yet (suggestions welcome)
Scale: 1:144 to 1:6
Type: Diorama/figure/AFV etc group build

Overview:
The idea of the campaign is to show a vehicle, weapon, or piece of equipment in a phase before it is ready to be used, such as design, manufacture or repair. It could be any vehicle from a bike to a plane, any weapon from a pistol to a howitzer, any piece of equipment from a helmet to a radar.

Scope:
Any vehicle, weapon, or piece of equipment from WW1 to Modern day, from any nation.

Rules:
Open for every Armorama member.
Figures, vehicles, or dioramas welcome.
The model should show something OBVIOUSLY before it is ready to be used.

Example ideas:
Sherman tank having turret lowered onto it.
German officers looking at blueprints of Maus tank.
Repair unit changing tire on a jeep.

Just a tank OOB entered as a 'Panzer 4 during testing/training' is not eligible.

I hope I've made my idea clear this time. Comments welcome.

I thought it was a bit vague. I'll change it.

Name proposal: The Vagueness Before

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Sorry I didn't answer before, but it's a job to keep up all the posts on Armorama...

I get the idea! Something like a jet with 'take off before flight' tags on it...
I don't know yet what to build. Probably some AFV or so. Count me in anyway!

Ok, I'll put in a proper campaign proposal, just as soon as I have a name for it.

*Also, what sort of time frame?

Dave,
You may want to think about making this an official campaign. Once upon a time we had a lot of informal group builds and operations where everyone just kept track of what was going on in the forums and posted pictures there.
Some of the "Operations" were fun because there weren't strict rules and guidelines. Hence, no arguments about what falls into the rules of the campy and what doesn't, no one asking for an extension, etc.

Just a thought...

I'll put it forward as a proper campaign proposal as soon as I have a name for it and a time frame. Suggestions welcome.

Would this include prototypes that were never fielded? I think any timeframe works. Putting the last nail in the Trojan horse, etc.

My only concern is start and end date. I'm committed on campaigns until the end of the year.

Sounds like a very late 2005 start with the ending somewhere in 2006. HTH

It sounds like you're talking "Test and Evaluation" subjects. If so, then you could attract X-Plane modelers, some real space modelers like those interested in the DynaSoar and Gemini MOL programs, etc...

Think about gearing the idea in that direction - and do consider the group build concept. It is freeer for the members, no real time constraints and rules other than what you and the group decided - and is no less fun that a Campaign Mission or Operation.
