Well, enough said. I'm giving up on scratchbuilding. I'll just stick to building OOB.

Very inspiring and motivating work, barv.

Is the top hatch on the roof of the cab exactly what the IDF really use on that dozer? I never knew that and never saw reference pictures of it.
What color green is this? Thanks for the inspirations.

Dear BARV

It is my first post in this forum, so only wanted to admire your brave project.
This is simply great...by all means.

The Dubby (teddy Bear) as it called in IDF is a real challenge in modelling.
Hopw about adding the slat armor?

cheerz

Hello Michael
How are you ...long time not hear ...my fault getting too involved with my bench
Welcome to Armorama .......Thank you for you kind words...has been a long hunt for info to do it as I have no drawings ..its all from photographs taken off the net plus a few of the civil and unarmoured types
I was --and will --be doing another as there seems to be about 14 variations .....yeh! ...I'm mad about Dubby's---now fulfilling a challenge of 3 years
Was set to do a Master --but Cromwell (Gordon Brown ) has got it on the table ...stick to my scratching
The "built " is on here.....
http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f329/BARV/D9%20BUILD/
.... have only 1 pic of wire armour (slat)...not a lot to show for 3 years hunting
Did attempt to put on IDF site but am "locked -out" --not recognised ....Will try again soon ..it can join my Trailbazer in gallery
Please kep in touch ---dvd discs are being done (when got time ) so will send all my pics to you when they are ready
Take care
aye

Yep--thats the one-----I looked and rejected as it was going to cost £25 .00 just for the wire and so much time that I would not have it ready for the show ....there are so many variations that it woud be so easy to "guestimate" how it fits....wrongly !
Have bits for another two + on side bench ..another variation and a D7 US military...got a few bits of info on "NAM" usage that may lead me in that direction

To answer the previous question --over 55 years of building in all scales and aspects of the hobby --yes --b-b's ,wingies and floaties---been "cutting and shutting "for about 20 years as there were no kits for what I fancied --early days saw me doing a few in "braile "(about 400) thanks to Airfix mag --the "builders bible "at that time and many books that carried some form of drawing /plan
Still prefer the "Dark Side "and all its foibles....
