I've seen it once on tv, but that was a long time ago. IIRC it even featured the Saumur Tiger II? It's a long time ago, so I could be mistaken.

Thanks for posting Julien's work man,.... makes the old brain click in, food for thought...I do like his over all effect, tall trees often don't come off, perspective and scale falls short, but Julien has got it right......yes mate some of the free French colonial troops may be the next big move in our figure hobby,....also Indian troops ww I & ww II...?????.. Great brain food Julien,.. Phil,..

Well Julien, you finally dropped the officer? a wise move I must say i really like your scene, the colourful uniforms really melt well with the ground cover and the choice of the base is really top, the whole gives a very professional and colourful feeling, and I don't even mention about your stripped Goumier which is top as well. I really can't believe that's still one of your first works! Maybe just put some extra coat of matt varnish on the machine gunner, he seems to be shining a bit too much anyway, congratulations again & good luck for your next project! JB

This is a very well done vignette Julien. As mentioned earlier in the other post I really liked the composition and the enclosed feel of the forest. Plus I always like dios on subject matters that are not so common..

Hey Julien, Sorry to ressurrect this thread, but I immediately thought of your vignette when watching Rachid Bouchareb's Indigènes this weekend. Excellent movie, I really enjoyed it. I must admit though I thought it very much a Indigène "Saving Private Ryan", but then apparently I'm not the only one that thought this. I know it's been criticised for ignoring Marocchinate, but then again which war movie about brotherhood etc really highlights the atrocities committed by soldiers (SPP and BoB sure ignored a few). Anyway, nice movie which made me once again browse your excellent vignette Rudi
