Some of those bring back memories. I recently sorted my stuff and was amazed to find things I didn't know I had, and stuff I had forgotten about. And of course, I can't find my box of photo-etch that's hidden somewhere in the storage locker.

Jim, I really enjoyed your trip down memory lane. While you saved just about everything, All my previous models both built and unbuilt with the exception of the few tools I have back then, headed on off to the landfill around 1982 or so.

I remember looking at every one of those kits at some point in the past, and seeing them on the shelves back when we had local hobby stores.

I don't think I dare dig into my Stash! Sadly, very few built kits survived my move away from London - it was a case of gritting my teeth and trashing almost everything.

That Revell U-boat is in the wonderfully standard scale of 1/125. There was also a version available with an interior and one side open so you could see it.
