Painting
I sprayed the whole aircraft in a combination of Tamiya LP11 and modo bright sliver. I then sprayed several light coats of Tresemme hair spray as in the Tankart books. Then a combination of Gunze H59 and Tamiya XF70. I added some yellow to add highlights here and there. Then I soaked it and scrubbed the hell out of it. I then sealed it all in with x22. Oh btw I use MLT to thin everything.
Decaling
These decals are thick as cardboard. I used micro sol, then mark fit on them. They took forever to settle down. Then I carefully sanded the decal film off them which added a cool effect.
Weathering
I threw the kitchen sink at it. Oils, oil brushers, weathering pencils. I experimented with everything. Once happy I sealed it with good old Testors dullcoat and rapid thinner.
Undercarriage and final bits
The main undercarriage in nicely done and has the brake lines as part of the kit. The struts need to be inserted into slots and rotated in order to fix them into place. The undercarriage doors fit nicely and the kit provides a drawing to show you what the correct angles of the main gear. The tail wheel does look a bit too small for the model. The flaps can be positioned fully extended or retracted. The fuel tank again fits well and just slots into place. The aerial can be now be added. The final bits such as the navigation lights, Pitot tube and entry steps can be added and that is it complete.

Beautiful build, great job! Apart from the white markings at the back end, it might be worth masking and painting the main markings to avoid the thick decal issue you encountered. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Joe, and so much detail on your build progress. Cheers, D
