Model or Kit?

We live in the information age. So when you do a search for the term 'model' what do you get? Not the scale model kits you were looking for an probably some images that are not safe for work.

So I was just on Pinterest. Looking at things that started off as scale model related. But quickly devolved to this...

So the question arises, should we be gravitating away from using the term 'model' to describe a plastic kit, and rather use the term 'kit'? Obviously the term model will never go out of use entirely, but a conscious move by people in the industry would allow the online algorithm gods to find the content more accurately. That is, unless you are fine with mixing scantily clad women (or men) with your plastic fare.
